Life of Jiong

The Chinese character “囧 (Jiong)” means “brightness.” It looks like a human face with sloping eyebrows and an open mouth, as if expressing frustration. It is interpreted on the Internet as depression, helplessness, and embarrassment.
In Taiwan, where the land is densely populated, the wealth gap between the rich and the poor has widened in recent years. People are helpless in the face of unreachable high house prices and the struggle of daily living is getting harder. We do what we can to strive to do better and struggle in our busy lives and hope for a comfortable home. Living in shabby alleys and looking up at the fancy high-rise buildings, we can only live in a state of hardship and keep weaving unattainable dreams!
