臺灣樣像˙居所—〈一方田〉與〈築巢水一方〉 / Taiwan Images: Dwellings—“One Field” and “Building A Nest by the Water”

本次展覽結合〈一方田〉與〈築巢水一方〉的作品，策展人呂筱渝博士介紹〈一方田〉為以相機鏡頭在視網膜上劃開一條「尋找『刺點』之路」，指出我在人眼可看盡精華而無法拍盡其所見，借助鏡頭的框取來完成，接著「去背」抹除影像中那些遮蔽自然的視覺雜質，產生一種介於熟悉與陌生的「『視』曾相識』的奇異感。姜麗華教授介紹〈築巢水一方〉為以類地誌學拍攝宜蘭現有居屋，使用二分法的構圖，將影像的畫面劃分為上方／下方、有天／有水、真實／虛擬，詮釋宜蘭特有屋舍的建築美感，並以素描描繪屋內居民的生活型態與家居擺飾，巧妙串連組合影像之間的關聯性與話題，似真似擬表現水鄉之城超現實的生存空間。
The exhibition brings together the works of “One Square Field” and “Building A Nest by the Water.” Curator Dr. Hsiao-Yu Lu introduced “One Square Field” as a journey of 'finding the “focal point” drawn on the retina through the lens of a camera. She pointed out that, while the human eye can capture the essence, it cannot fully capture everything it sees. The use of the lens's framing complements and accomplishes this task, followed by “de-backgrounding” to eliminate visual noise that obscures nature, creating a peculiar sensation of “having seen” something both familiar and unfamiliar.
Professor Li-Hua Chiang introduced “Building A Nest by the Water” as a photographic exploration of existing houses in Yilan using a quasi-topology approach. The composition employs a binary method, dividing the image into upper/lower, sky/water, and real/virtual, interpreting the architectural beauty of Yilan's unique houses. The work also includes sketches depicting the lifestyle and interior decor of local residences, skillfully connecting the relationships and topics between the combined images. The result is an almost lifelike representation that captures the surreal living space of the water town.
