來自英國威爾斯的紀實攝影和藝術攝影師－克萊爾・托馬斯　Claire Thomas，作品主要圍繞政治和軍事衝突、人道主義、環境危機等議題，今年度以「Around the World 行旅全球」為展覽主題，呈現Claire旅居世界各地的觀察與紀錄，本次展出主題包含：《行旅全球 Around the World》、《笑傲飛鷹：阿爾泰山的獵鷹人Kazakh Herders of the Altai》、《歌詠自然：野生與環境保育 Wildlife and Environmentalism》與全球首度發表全新創作，在疫情的烏雲壟罩世界時，令人們重新回憶起世界的自然與人文之美。

Claire接受過戰場急救和險境求生訓練，攝影計畫跨足全球，包含阿拉斯加、懷俄明州、萊索托、莫桑比克，以及在蒙古阿爾泰山拍攝的哈薩克獵鷹人，細膩捕捉了標誌性的人文風貌與地理景觀。作品曾刊載於《紐約時報》、《星期日泰晤士報》、《衛報》、《地理》雜誌、《國家地理》雜誌、《綠色和平》雜誌、《半島電視台》和《Newlines》雜誌等，並入圍多項國際獎項，如英國最佳攝影記者、最佳攝影作品等。

影像能透過網路散播，激發人們的想像力，並進而動身踏上旅程。對我而言，國家地理和旅遊雜誌頁面的照片促使我開始自助旅行，從吉薩大金字塔到莫三比克巴扎魯托群島的蔚藍海洋，我的攝影計劃帶我前往許多美麗和多元文化的世界角落。好奇心激勵我前往世界各地，讓我想要親眼見識、實際體驗這個世界的多元性。這系列作品將帶來超過十年的旅行和探索中東、非洲、北美和歐洲的成果。

▍ 迦納旅遊模特兒 Ghana Models , 2012

在搭乘獨木舟抵達恩祖倫後不久，我遇見這些漂亮的女性，她們在那兒為宣傳迦納旅遊拍照，一看見我的相機，她們立刻一起擺出完美的姿勢。我最愛迦納的一件事，就是迦納女性無比的自信、獨立和魅力。

系列 II｜笑傲飛鷹：阿爾泰山的獵鷹人 Kazakh Herders of the Altai

在西蒙古崎嶇遙遠的阿爾泰山深處，數世紀來哈薩克人與金雕建立密切的共生關係，訓練牠們獵捕狐狸和其他小動物。2019年10月，我前往蒙古與阿爾泰山具代表性的哈薩克獵鷹人、騎手、半游牧牧民見面，古捕捉傳統游牧家庭生活、人們之間關係、眷養的動物和賴以維生的土地。

我很榮幸和這些家庭共度時光，他們的力量和精神是持續的靈感來源。

▍ Arkalak與他的夥伴 Arkalak and Companion

西蒙古阿爾泰山的十二歲哈薩克獵鷹人Arkalak 帶著他的老鷹。為維持哈薩克的傳統，Arkalak追隨他父親的腳步，十歲開始訓練自己的老鷹。

我在英國威爾斯成長，熱衷騎馬，在鄉下感覺最自在。受到自然世界的孤寂、令人敬畏的美感以及其中的冒險所吸引，我的許多旅行遠離慣用路徑，造訪偏遠且陌生的地方，找尋未受人類打擾的原始環境。我所有的靈感和夢想都源自於馬，我對馬的愛促使我拿起相機。

從阿拉斯加高聳的潮水冰河到看似月亮的約旦瓦地倫，我相信攝影能帶來深遠的影響力，讓我們明白：若人們不為未來世代保護環境，這個世界將失去許多獨特性。這些作品呈現了自然世界的樂趣和生活其中的野生居民，從納米比亞的埃托沙國家公園到白雪覆蓋山峰的洛磯山脈。

▍ 森林之王 The King

納米比亞奧康吉瑪自然保育區公獅肖像。
我在納米比亞為期十天的野營之旅中捕捉到這個影像，當獅子靠近躲藏處時，他似乎與我直接眼神接觸，盯著看了好一陣子，然後像是追捕獵物一樣向前衝。
我很興奮看到這麼漂亮的動物，親眼目睹牠短暫展現了掠食的本能，也感覺到那頭獅子展現沉穩莊嚴的力量，在我復原期間鼓舞了我的精神。
