Since its inception in 2007, SKM PHOTO (Shin Kong Mitsukoshi International Photography Contest) has been dedicated to providing a platform for photography enthusiasts to showcase their talent and promote photographic art, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year. The contest has received widespread recognition and enthusiastic support from the photography community and the public.

In addition to organizing an international photography competition and discovering emerging photographers each year, SKM PHOTO has expanded its role as a platform for exhibition and exchange by inviting Taiwanese photographers with distinctive styles to participate in its touring exhibitions. Through these efforts, SKM PHOTO aims to establish a comprehensive system for collecting and preserving photographic works, contributing to the diversity and development of photographic art in Taiwan. By making use of the diverse spaces of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department stores and bringing together professionals from related fields, SKM PHOTO seeks to bring photographic art to a wider audience.
