曾經繁華的傳統市場，經不起消費習慣改變的衝擊，正快速沒落。尤其是商場型的市場，在購物環境徹底改善前，難逃人去樓空的窘境。偌大的賣場，留下的，除了幾間門可羅雀的小店外，就只有獨居老人、遊民和悠閒的貓。我拿起相機，心酸的記錄這被逐漸遺忘的角落。
As consumer habits and shopping patterns are changing, formerly bustling traditional markets are currently undergoing a rapid decline. Larger, shopping-arcade style markets in particular will have a hard time keeping customers if they cannot improve the overall shopping environment. As it is now, the one usually finds only a few lonely stalls or shops still operating on the extensive premises, and even these appear more or less deserted except for a few live-alone senior citizens, drifters and lazy cats. With a sad heart, I pick up my camera to create a record of these forgotten corners.

When I first started to get involved with photography, all I wanted was to take beautiful landscape pictures. But I soon notice that the people and things around me are constantly undergoing all kinds of changes, and it become my ambition to record these changes with my camera.
