Taking part in this contest is a great honor to me, especially my work are shortlisted by the jury. I am looking forward to further improving my photography skills and technique. I would like to thank all the people and organizations that have encouraged me and offered me this opportunity.
“Broken Dreams” is a series of pictures aiming to convey my yearning and desperation for the dreams and ideals by recording the thoughts towards this metal craftwork. And it also reveals my protection and insistency for the pursuit of the dreams.

拍攝金屬工藝每一件作品，自己幾乎用色彩來記錄它們，而黑白算是第一次嘗試；靠著光影、反光及物件的質感，它們的相互呼應與配合一致，才能在分秒間構成有氣息、有感覺的圖片。
When taking pictures of metal craftworks, I normally place the main emphasis on color. Therefore, these black-and-white pictures represent something of a new departure, an attempt to represent the object’s structure and texture through the subtle interplay of light and shade alone. With the help of adequate lighting and finely tuned shutter speed, I hope that it exactly captures the life and feelings of my subject.
