在一個持續進步但是頹廢的畸型城市。我透過賄賂來到一個工業區，台灣西部最小的鄉鎮。這裡的居民由於工業廢氣與汙水，飽受癌症機率攀升的痛苦風險。我帶著滿心不安的心情拿著相機走在這一片海埔新生地，當時正飄著細雨，地上的泥濘不時被緊張的腳步所濺起，眼前頓時出現滿是零散廢棄物的場景，按下快門的同時，承載著過去與未來的片刻記憶，消失荒野。
This is a developing city. It’s also a city bent out of shape. By greasing a few hands, I gained access to an industrial area in Taixi, the smallest township in western Taiwan. Because of air and water pollution from its factories, the local population is plagued by a rising incidence of cancers. I walked through the tracts of polder land in an apprehensive mood that was intensified by a fine drizzle of rain. Mud splashing under my nervous feet, I witnessed a wasteland of discarded objects and buildings, and as I kept triggering the shutter, past, future, and looming death merged into a wasteland before my very eyes.
