Fine Work Award
To me, the photography is a way of exploring and organzing my thoughts. It is a tool that helps me understanding myself.
Why are those sights and imgaes attracted me so much when others don’t even notice them? What makes me intuitively pressing the shutter to capture those moments on my camera? Is the scenery, the subject, or neither? It is rather like a tarot card, the image is a reflection of my vague inner vistas. The obscure symbolic totems that makes up my “self” are coming to live in photos. By interpreting the visual clues, I see myself more cystal clear. Moreover, I am able to conduct a dialogue with my inner voice.
The interesting thing is that the exact same image can represent many different mood of mine depends on the timing. The lens only serves as a medium, allowing me to live and to observe the world around me with a sharper awareness. Last but not least, the lens give me an revelatory experience what life is all about.
