不知為何,在台灣的戶外常可見到各式不同的椅子擺放著,空蕩蕩的位置出現在想像不到的地方,有時似乎與環境格格不入,卻又呈現一種莫名的互動關係,就像是某種不切實際的存在,等待著不存在的某人到來。
For some reason, in Taiwan you frequently encounter all kinds of chairs, armchairs and even sofas in an out-of-doors setting. Often empty and inviting you to sit down, these open-air seating accommodations sometimes look a bit out of sync with their surroundings. Yet, there is always a strange sense of interaction with the environment, as well as a feeling of surrealistic existence, as if these pieces of furniture are waiting for some kind of Godot who’ll never come to take a seat.
