在還沒踏入消防圈前，我以為消防很輕鬆，後來才知道原來如此地嚴苛，垂吊、滅火、高山搜索、橫渡急流等，每一項都是玩真的。我們相信，嚴格的訓練就是對生命的尊重。我將一個個小鳳凰比喻成一盞盞小燈，希望之後下分隊照亮台灣。
Before I got involved with fire fighting, I had thought that it was an easy job. Since then I have learned how demanding it is: vertical climbing, putting out fires, high mountain searches, traversing fast moving rivers, and so on. Each activity is the real thing. We believe that rigorous training is a form of respect for life. I have turned a small phoenix metaphor and turned it into a small beacon of light in the hope that after the members of our team have their assignments that they will light up Taiwan.
