陳以軒畢業於紐約普瑞特藝術學院攝影碩士，目前工作與生活於台北。創作從平面攝影出發，近年來透過展覽、駐村、出版、錄像、紀錄片、行為演出等各種手法，不斷實驗影像與藝術創作之間的關聯，攝影在他持續不斷地操弄搬演之下，變得更具厚度。

陳以軒曾參與2016年台北雙年展，攝影作品更受邀至各大攝影節展出，如紐約攝影節、新加坡攝影節、連州攝影節、廈門阿爾勒攝影節、紐奧良Photonola攝影節、以及台南攝影節，並先後於hpgrp GALLERY NEW YORK、關渡美術館、竹圍工作室、台北市立美術館、海馬迴光畫館及鳳甲美術館舉辦個展，其中在鳳甲美術館的個展《委託製作》更榮獲第18屆台新藝術獎—視覺藝術大獎。作品獲休士頓美術館及卡蒂斯特基金會收藏。

五張作品的參賽形式很難取巧，一眼就看得出創作者想說什麼，在敘事上常常必須第一眼就引人入勝，接下來再根據主題發展中段、以及強而有力的結尾。再來談到作品本身，我覺得最重要的是觀點。如果你的意識形態或甚至美感是很常規、很教科書式的，那這不構成觀點；如果能夠找到發自內心、不被世俗規範影響的聲音，這時才開始聽見創作者真正想說的話，珍貴的個人觀點也由此而生。

至於創作者要如何尋找拍攝主題？這時我會建議大量去拍，拍個幾萬張吧，畢竟眼睛和身體是騙不了人的，只要拍的越多，就越能慢慢發現你所在意的事物、構圖習慣以及個人美學，透過事後整理歸納後，就能觀察出你對這個世界的觀點。接著開始試著思考觀眾是如何觀看你的攝影，也就是說要面對觀眾，你的作品會因此開始與這個社會產生關係。

Deception is difficult in the entry format of the five-piece competition. What the creator wants to say can be seen at a glance. The narrative has to be intriguing at first glance. Then based on the theme, the middle and the powerful ending are developed. As for the works themselves, in my opinion, the most important is perspective. If your ideology or even aesthetics are conventional and textbook-like, it won’t constitute a perspective. If you can find a voice from the inner mind without being affected by mundane norms, what the creator really wants to say can be heard, and the precious personal perspective is therefore born.

How does a creator find the photographic theme? My suggestion is to take a large number of photos, tens of thousands of photos. After all, eyes and bodies won’t lie. As long as you take enough photos, you will be able to find what you care about, habits of composition, and personal aesthetics. Through the organization and summation, you will find your perspectives on the world and then start to think about how the viewers perceive your photography. In other words, you have to face the viewers so that your works will start to be connected to society.
