▍DOWN ON THE STREET
在「2026 ART TAIWAN｜SKM PHOTO 攝影藝術博覽會」中，能與臺灣的攝影愛好者分享我的代表作，深感榮幸，也期待會場相見。我以黑白街頭攝影為核心創作，三十多年來以東京為據點持續發表，也走訪世界各地城市拍攝。對我而言，街道既是日常，也是「正在發生的劇場」；同一條街，瞬間從不重複。我反覆行走於城市之中，以直覺按下快門，捕捉偶然相遇的人們所交織的情境與故事，以及光影交會的一瞬之美。
在我三十多年的創作歷程中，攝影經歷了從底片到數位的重大技術轉換。 本次展覽我從早期的黑白銀鹽印相到最新的數位創作中，精選多件作品呈現；盼觀者能在我的影像裡感受到街頭攝影的魅力，感受到城市與人群的流動之間的趣味性。
It is a pleasure and an honor to share a selection of my work with photography audiences in Taiwan on occasion of the 2026 ART TAIWAN｜SKM PHOTO Exposition. I am a Tokyo-based street photographer who has devoted more than three decades to black-and-white street photography, photographing not only my hometown but also cities around the world. For me, the street is a kind of theatre: even on the same road, the same moment never returns. I work by walking, watching, and responding instinctively to chance encounters and the fleeting interplay of light and shadow.
Throughout my thirty-year journey in photography, I have witnessed profound changes the evolution from film to digital has brought about. This exhibition features a curated selection of works ranging from early gelatin silver prints to my latest digital creations. I hope viewers can experience the unique allure of street photography through my lens - capturing the dynamic interplay between the city and its people, and finding whimsical moments within the constant flow.
