Since 2007, the Shinkon Mitsukoshi Photography Exhibition (SKM PHOTO) has gathered not only photographers from Taiwan, but also those around the world who create in diverse forms, bringing their works to Taiwan for the event. As a part of the SKM PHOTO exhibition, this year's participants will have their pieces touring the major cities of northern, central and southern Taiwan, giving the public a chance to have a closer look at these brilliant works from around the world, which will increase their awareness of art and get them more involved in creative fields. The annual SKM PHOTO event serves as a platform where photographers from Taiwan and other countries can interact more with and draw inspiration from one another.

「新光三越国際フォトグラフィー・エキシビジョン・イベント(略称SKM PHOTO)」は2007年の初開催以来、台湾地元の写真家による熱烈に参加するほか、さらに毎年、世界各地から様々なクリエイティブタイプのプロ写真芸術家を台湾に招いて共同展示を行います。SKM PHOTOイベント全体の運営を通じ、本年度の展覧会に招聘された国際アーティストは、いずれも台湾の北部、中部、南部などの主要都市にて巡回展を開催することができます。台湾の一般民衆に海外写真家の素晴らしい作品が近距離から鑑賞するチャンスを与えたり、映像芸術に対する認識を高めたりするため、このような創作領域に力を注いでおります。また、毎年恒例のSKM PHOTOイベントを通じて台湾にもっと国際創作写真家との交流機会が増やせよう、より多くの創造性や斬新なアイディアが生み出せるよう期待しております。
